The winter months offer visitors and residents the chance to downhill ski, snowboard, snowshoe, cross country ski, and snowmobile. Skiers and snowboarders can test their skill at the world famous Heavenly Ski Resort. With runs rising 3000 vertical feet above the base lodge, you are sure to find a run that suits your style. For those who enjoy boating, there are five boat marinas. In Tahoe Keys vacationers will find homes with their own private docks. On the South Shore beautiful sandy beaches can be found at El Dorado, Regan (free public boat launch), Pope, Camp Richardson, and Baldwin beaches.
